Our pets.  They are part of the family, our friends and our confidante.  Whether it is a dog, cat, ferret, horse, snake or potbellied pig – they give us joy!  We build memories of them with pictures, stories and momentos.

When building those memories, the pictures can fade, the stories might be forgotten but sometimes you can find something that is precious and will last for years to come, just as those memories.

A beautiful gemstone paw print pendant is wonderful way of sharing your love of pets with others and if you have multiple pets, you can stack these lovely pendants.

I am going to hug my wonderful dog now.

Just saying the words “Engagement Ring” brings to mind so many thoughts: Diamonds, Gold, Tears, Joy, Emerald-Cut, Marquise-Cut, Family Heirloom, Precious, Matching Wedding Bands and so on. We all remember the excitement when a friend comes up holding her hand up for everyone to see the beautiful and sparkling ring on her finger.

What style should you choose? Should you mix Diamonds with Colored Stones? Precious vs. Semi-Precious? White Gold or Yellow? Platinum? Should you choose a ring that you can easily pair with a stunning wedding band? Most important to consider too, is your budget.

When shopping for Engagement Rings – HAVE FUN! This will be a purchase that can be as nerve-racking as it is enjoyable! Think of the cherished memory upon finding that perfect piece of art for that your special woman (or man) will wear for a lifetime.

As you venture out into the world of Engagement Rings, have an idea(or ideas) in mind in advance to keep you focused as it can get overwhelming very quickly. Some of the things you can consider:

  • Your Budget
  • Your future fiancé’s taste in jewelry
    • If she prefers simpler styles in jewelry, you might think twice about that 8 carat sapphire surrounded by 3 rows of Diamonds (though she might not be able to say “No” to you when you propose J)
  • Basic knowledge of diamonds and other stones
    • Some stones can be “softer” than others so consider that when you are purchasing stones other than diamonds. Make sure that the softer stones are better protected in the setting.
  • What will be the daily wear on the ring? Depending on what your future fiancé does for work, you might want to consider a metal and setting that can handle it.

By all means, enjoy this special time and cherish the memories!
